Onimai is a comedy manga web-series made and illustrated by Nekotofu in 2017 and published by Ichijinsha In April 2019. It currently has an anime adaptation from Studio Bind and one currently licensed by Crunchyroll.

Plot

Onimai follows the life of Mahiro Oyama, the Neet and otaku after transforming into a mid-school girl After the results of Mihari's experiment. in series, after transformation, he must learn how to be comfortable in his new body.

Onimai's first volume was released in 2017 by Nekotofu on Pixiv and other platforms. (shown below)

In April 2019, Ichijinsha published Onimai in Monthly Comic Rex.

2023 Anime Adaptation

In April 22, 2022, An anime adaptation was announced, Produced by Studio Bind and Directed by Shingo Fujii. The series premiere date was set to January 5, 2023. Crunchyroll uploaded trailer in December 14, 2022.

Characters

Mahiro

Mahiro was an older brother of Mihari. In the series, he was transformed into a mid-school girl and need to improve himself with the new body.

Mihari

Mihari is Mahiro's young sister. She is also a scientist. For her experiment project "Onimai," she created a drug for transformation into a mid-school girl. She tested these drugs on her older brother, Mahiro, while he was sleeping.
