On August 20th, 2024, Amazon Prime Video's official YouTube^[1] account released the first teaser for their upcoming anthology series Secret Level, featuring original stories set within the worlds of various video games. The teaser (seen below) amassed roughly 1.3 million views and 65,000 likes in a day.

According to the teaser's description, the show is expected to premiere on December 10th, 2024, featuring episodes from 15 epic stories including Armored Core, Concord, Crossfire, Dungeons & Dragons, Exodus, Honor of Kings, Mega Man, New World: Aeternum, PAC-MAN, various PlayStation Studios games, Sifu, Spelunky, The Outer Worlds, Unreal Tournament and Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2.

Online Reactions

A few hours after the TV show was announced and the trailer unveiled, memes and jokes went viral on social media about the games and characters that will be featured in Secret Level.

For instance, on August 21st, 2024, X^[2] user @realradec posted a version of the When Your Circle Small But All Y'all Crazy meme showing some of the characters that will appear in the series (seen below), amassing more than 16,000 likes and 1,900 reposts in a few hours.

Also on August 21st, Redditor^[3] Mr_Farky posted the I Get It Now reaction video accompanied by the text "me when Pac-Man says 'now I am become God of War, the destroyer of New World: Aeternum.'" The post (seen below) received roughly 30 upvotes in a few hours.
