Trap Adventure 2 is a popular troll game developed and published in 2016 Hiroyoshi Oshiba for mobile phones. The game, which presents itself using pixel art, is notoriously difficult and has become popular on Twitter in 2018, after users posted footage of their ill-fated playthroughs of the game.
On June 29th, 2016, mobile game developer Hiroyoshi Oshiba released the sequel to one of his games, Trap Adventure, a game he released three years prior. The game was a platformer that used pixel art and chiptune music, causing many to call it a Super Mario clone. However, the extremely high difficulty caused it to be less associated with Mario and more closely compared to games such as I Wanna be the Guy. In their App Store description of the game, they describe it as:
Caution!! This may be the most hardest, irritating, frustrating game EVER.
If you tend to exasperate often, I recommend you not play this game.
It will literally drive you insane. I PROMISE.
As written above, this game is VERY STRESSFUL.
You may get so irritated and frustrated that you throw your phone out the window.
I can't take any responsibilities for the displeasure this game may cause.
Even after reading this you are still eager to play the game, then go ahead.
