Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me is a Japanese four-panel yuri comedy manga series created in 2016 by Nanatsu Mukunoki and 2019 anime series of the same name. The series follow colledge student Miyako Hoshino, who gets a crush on her younger sister's classmate.
History
On November 18th, 2016, four-panel yuri comedy manga series Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me (Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!), written and illustrated by Nanatsu Mukunoki, premiered in Comic Yuri Hime magazine.[1] The series follows Japanese college student Miyako Hoshino who feels attracted to her younger sister's classmate, Hana Shirosaki. In the series, Miyako gets Hana to dress up in cosplay costumes made by her in exchange for snacks.
On January 8th, 2019, the first episode of Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me anime series, based on the manga, premiered in Japan.[1] The series concluded on March 26th, 2019, with a total of 12 episodes aired.
Reception
Wataten anime series received generally positive reviews online, maintaining a 7.54 rating on MyAnime List as of April 17th, 2019, based on 16,977 votes.[2] On IMDb, the series maintained a 7.0 rating based on 42 votes.[3]
