About
Super Straight or SuperStraight is a term coined by TikToker kyleroyce to describe a type of heterosexual person that only dates cisgender members of the opposite sex. The term has been labeled transphobic by multiple social media users and sparked online debate about its legitimacy, and has been used by communities like /pol/ to spread transphobic rhetoric. Following its circulation on social media in March 2021, other related terms were coined, including "Super Gay," "Super Lesbian," "Super Bi" and "Superphobic."
Origin
On February 21st, 2021, TikTok[1] user kyleroyce posted a video captioned "who else is super straight?" in which he explained that due to being called "transphobic" after refusing to date trans women, who he did not consider to be "real women," he decided to created a new label for his sexuality, choosing the term "super straight" to identify heterosexual people who exclusively date cis people (reupload shown below).

Yo, guys, I made a new sexuality now, actually. It's called "super straight," okay. Since straight people, straight men as myself get called transphobic because I wouldn't date a trans woman, you know, like, "-Would you date a trans woman? "-No" "-Why? That's a female" "-No, that's not a real woman to me, like, I want a real one" "-No, you're just transphobic!"
So, now I'm super straight! I only date the opposite gender β women β that are born women, so you can't say I'm transphobic now, because that's just my sexuality, you know?
As of March 5th, the video received over 13 million views on TikTok with the hashtag #superstraight gaining over 11.9 million tags.[2][3] On March 6th, Kyloroice removed the video from TikTok,[4] writing that people were sending his mother death threats over it. On March 3rd, 2021, Twitter[5] account @OGSuperstraight reuploaded the video, with the reupload gaining over 263,900 views in five days.
