Taylor Swift Yelling at Travis Kelce or Taylor Swift Lecturing Travis Kelce is a photograph of singer Taylor Swift and her boyfriend football player Travis Kelce during a lunch date in Malibu in which Swift appears to be talking loudly to Kelce. The photograph went viral in late March 2024 as a caption meme, sharing similarities to precursors such as Girl Explaining, with users pairing it with captions in which Swift angrily complained or explained things to her boyfriend.
Origin
On March 24th, 2024, the X[1] / Twitter news account @ThePopTingz and other similar accounts posted photographs of singer Taylor Swift and her boyfriend football player Travis Kelce on a lunch date in Malibu, California. In one of the photographs, Swift is loudly saying something, appearing as if she's yelling at Kelce (shown below, left and right).
Later that day, a short video recording of the conversation was then circulated[2] online (shown below).

On March 25th, 2024, the photograph of Swift "yelling" at Kelce gained virality as an image caption meme format. In memes, the picture was paired with captions in which Swift angrily complained or explained something to Kelce.
For example, on March 25th, X[3] / Twitter user @Dorothea_Pod posted a meme in which Swift explained the lyric from her song "invisible string," explaining that Ernest Hemingway was not a Sesame Street character (shown below, left). The post gained over 40 reposts and 330 likes in one day. Later that day, X[4] user @CallMeK1123 posted a caption meme that received over 30 reposts and 300 likes in one day (shown below, right).
More memes based on the format were posted and went viral on X in the following hours. On March 25th, 2024, X[5] user @jack24dd30 jokingly suggested that Kelce was being abused, with the post (shown below, left) garnering over 1,400 reposts and 27,000 likes in one day. Later that day, X[6] user @gbrl_dick posted a meme referencing Came in a Fluffer joke that received over 170 reposts and 4,700 likes in one day (shown below, right).
