On June 14th, 2024, TikTok[1] user @harryalex98 posted a clip of singer Taylor Swift doing a silly dance move involving her shaking her hips several times during her Eras Tour concert in Edinburgh, Scotland. The clip (shown below) gained over 3.4 million views and 285,000 likes in four days.

On June 15th, X[2] user @betteroffwoem posted the clip with the caption "she's so underrated as a dancer." The post gained over 29,000 reposts and 25,000 likes in three days (shown below).

Spread
The clip became a subject of parodies on X / Twitter in the following days as users made fun of Swift's dance and criticized her in general. For example, on June 16th, 2024, X[3] user @MrFisterLLC quoted the post, writing, "This is how my 8 year old cousin dances after 2 Dr. Peppers." The post (shown below) received over 14,000 reposts and 264,000 likes in two days.
