On February 5th, 2024, TikToker[1] @pr4yforgabs posted a video showing a bowl of chocolate-covered strawberries on a bed, filmed with the flash-on to the song "What You Won’t Do for Love" by Bobby Caldwell, centering on the opening lyrics "I guess you wonder where I've been." In 17 days, the video amassed over 174.6 million plays and 25.9 million likes (shown below).
Three days before @pr4yforgabs' video, on February 2nd, 2024, TikToker[2] @eyoorenii posted an almost identical video of chocolate-covered strawberries with Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won’t Do for Love," gaining over 26.2 million plays and 3.6 million likes 20 days. However, @pr4yforgabs' video would become more well-known as the "Bowl of Chocolate Strawberries" TikTok.

As the video of the chocolate strawberries went increasingly viral, TikTokers began referencing the phenomenon in their content. An early, viral reaction was posted by TikToker[3] @hallehallle on February 15th, 2024, in which she said, "This app does not make sense," gaining over 4.6 million plays and 733,400 likes in a week (shown below, left).
Also on February 15th, 2024, TikToker[4] @katieritchiie posted a skit, imagining what the cameraperson looked like, receiving over 36.1 million plays and 3.9 million likes in a week (shown below, right).
