On December 25th, 2023, TikToker[4] @greatesrfajer posted a video set to the song "What You Won’t Do for Love" by Bobby Caldwell. The video (shown below) was filmed using a 0.5x camera and flash and moved with the music to show a kitten. The post may have been an early inspiration for the food-related trend as it notably features a similar style.
