The Griffin Method refers to a TikTok trend based on humorous videos of creator and TikTok user @grifftomaino in which he uses a voice editing tool to change his tone and speed. The TikToker started posting videos in that format in late January 2025, but in late March 2025, other creators began to adopt his content format in comedic videos, usually ranting about certain topics using the voice-alter filter to add a humorous tone to the video.

Origin

On January 29th, 2025, TikTok[1] user @grifftomaino posted a comedic video about an unusual nickname for people named Richard. In the video, Griffin's voice is altered between high and low pitch using the platform's video editing tool as he delivers the joke (seen below), amassing more than 110,000 plays and 53,000 likes in three months.

On April 3rd, 2025, the creator posted a video[2] about the "Griffin Method" going viral on TikTok (seen below), which garnered more than 2 million plays and 320,000 likes in three days.

The Griffin Method became a viral trend among creators on TikTok in late March and early April 2025, often used in videos in which the person is talking about something that bothers or irritates them.

For instance, on March 30th, 2025, TikTok[3] user @echostalks uploaded a video complaining about people who answer a question with another question, which garnered over 1.6 million plays and 349,000 likes in a week.
