About
The Pussy Part refers to a catchphrase and phrasal template centered on referencing something as, "the pussy part of X," in reference to it being the best part of said thing. The phrase was first coined on Twitter in 2018.
Origin
On August 1st, 2018, Twitter[1] user @eeb____ posted a tweet that referenced the chicken at Chic-Fil-A as the "pussy part of the bird." Their tweet (shown below) received roughly 22,600 likes over the course of three years. It is the first known use of the phrase.
Spread
The first known variant usage of the phrase was tweeted on August 19th, 2018, by Twitter[2] user @jordanvaa who referenced the burgers at Whataburger as, "the pussy part of the cow." Their tweet (shown below, top) received two likes after being posted. Another Twitter[3] user, @valentine2fine, used the phrase roughly ten days later, calling weed, "the pussy part of nature." Their tweet (shown below, bottom) received 22 likes after being posted.
Going into 2019 and 2020, the phrase picked up more traction, being used in more viral tweets. For instance, Twitter[4] user @aintnokiki posted a tweet on July 30th, 2019, referencing crab legs as, "the pussy part of the crab." Her tweet (shown below) received roughly 2,700 likes over the course of two years.
However, the concept of "the pussy part" was popularized most notably in 2021 after a tweet posted on May 9th, 2021, from Twitter[5] user @_slimarella_ received roughly 44,600 likes over seven months' time (shown below). It referenced Martinelli's apple juice as, "the pussy part of the apple."
More tweets using the phrase surfaced in late 2021, referencing things like McDonald's hash browns[6] and cinnamon rolls[7] as the "pussy parts" of their respective origins. Screenshots of "the pussy part" tweets also landed on Instagram, reposted by meme accounts like @new.incognito.tab[8] on December 26th, 2021.
