The post, titled "The Curse of Rosé," received 1,700 upvotes and 133 comments in seven months.

According to the Spiel Times^[2] website, the Rosé Curse started when supermodel Gigi Hadid posted a photo (seen below) with the K-Pop singer at the Met Gala in September 2021, and then announced her split from singer Zayn Malik a few weeks later.

The rumor was widely spread on TikTok, with users sharing Rosé's pictures with celebrities that have split recently. For instance, TikTok^[3] user @prettysavagepinks posted a video showing some of the couples Rosé has allegedly broken up. On April 8th, 2023, news about American singer Taylor Swift breaking up with British actor Joe Alwyn was highly discussed on social media. On the same day, a picture of Rosé with Taylor Swift started to be shared on Twitter, adding to the rumors that the singer has a breakup curse. For example, Twitter^[4] user @newdiaryentry shared the picture of Rosé with Taylor and the singer Sabrina Carpenter as a reply to a tweet commenting about Swift's breakup.
