"Tomorrow Is X" Kevin refers to a series of image macros based on an image of Kevin McCallister from Home Alone screaming paired with an announcement of the tomorrow date or a specific event taking place tomorrow.
Origin
On November 30th, 2015, now-defunct Twitter[1] account @teenagernotes posted a still image of Kevin McCallister from Home Alone screaming, captioning it, "Tomorrow is December 1st." The post received over 8,400 likes prior to getting deleted.
On June 17th, 2016, the post was scrambled by me.me.[2] On November 30th, 2016, Instagram[3] user black.keeps.it.a.buck made the earliest found repost of the macro (shown below).
Spread
Starting in 2016, the image was often reposted by various pages on November 30th. For example, on November 30th, 2019, Facebook[4][5] pages Partyman World Ipswich and 106.7 ROCK both reposted the image, with the posts gianing over 60 reactions and 30 shares and 90 reactions and 30 shares, respectively.
Starting in 2020, the image has been used ironically, with pages purposefully posting it on the wrong date. For example, Instagram[6] page urfavinthebackrooms posted it on December 17th, 2020, with the post gaining over 1,400 likes. Redditor[7] fish_taped_to_an_atm posted the image on November 16th, 2021, with the post gaining over 890 upvotes in the /r/196 subreddit.
On December 1st, 2021, Twitter[8][9] gimmick account Reminding you what day tomorrow is (@HomeAloneMeme) started posting recaptioned versions of the image daily, with the macros notifying subscribers the tomorrow date (examples shown below, left and center). Additionally, the account also posted humorous edits of the image timed for specific occasions (example shown below, right).
The account gained over 80,700 followers in six months.
As multiple edits and recaptions by @HomeAloneMeme went viral online, other users on social media also posted humorous edits of the image notifying of specific events taking place the next day.
