Unnerving Images With X Music, Unnerving Images But I Put X Over It and its variants refer to a series of cursed image video compilations that feature photo edits of bizarre, disturbing monsters, usually accompanied by either eerie or cheery music.
Origin
"Slimyswampghost"[1] is a horror Tumblr blog created on May 2011 by Canadian illustrator and writer Trevor Henderson. [2][3] Around August 2018, Henderson's work started receiving recognition online due to the "Found Footage" style of his illustrations and the lore he has built about many of his cryptids depicted in them,[4][5][6] which has inspired the creation of SCP entries,[7] and creepypastas (See Siren Head).

On December 29th, 2018, YouTube user Mister Nautilus uploaded to the platform a video compilation of Henderson's artwork called "when it's [REDACTED] hours" playing along the song The Lion Sleeps Tonight on the background (shown below).[8] As of November of 2019, the video received 1.2 million views and 76,000 likes.
On March 27th, 2019. YouTube user rye – chip uploaded a different video compilation titled "Unnerving Images with Unnerving Music" featuring a mashup of different dark ambient songs such as "Witch Theme" from Left 4 Dead and "13" from Minecraft, playing on the background (shown below, left).[9] As of November 2019, the video gathered 1.4 million views and 68,000 likes. On April 2nd, 2019, rye – chip uploaded another video called "Unnerving Images with Happy Music" which gained 1.7 million views and 127,000 likes as of November 2019 (shown below, right).[10]
Both videos helped inspire many versions which used different songs and a extended gallery of Trevor's pictures. For example, on April 25th, 2019, YouTube user FearOfDumbness uploaded his parody of the video using KRONO's remix of Dancin, gaining 1.9 million views as of November 2019 (shown below, left).[11] On May 5th, 2019, user Property Of uploaded his version with the song Pumped Up Kicks, which received 1.2 million views as of November 2019 (shown below, right).[12]
