While eating dinner, Frank tells him what he's been up to, explaining that he visited Thailand and decided he wanted to be a "ladyboy," going into detail about several encounters he had with men in which he pretended to be an Asian woman. He ends the story by claiming he has discovered Buddhism.

That night, social media users began using images of Goggins' reactions during the scene to portray shock and confusion. One of the earliest known examples of this was posted by X^[1] user @coneyisland131 that night, sharing two images and writing, "everyones face watching the white lotus tonight," garnering over 6,200 likes in two days.
