About

We're Gonna End Up Like This, also written We'll End Up Like This or We Gone End Up Like This, is a phrasal template commonly paired with the phrase Keep Liking My Posts that meme creators use to demonstrate how a certain behavior will result in a desired outcome, often romantic or ironic in nature. The phrase typically uses the format of "Keep Liking X And We're Gonna End Up Like This" with multiple variations. The meme first gained traction on Twitter in late 2018, using the catchphrase, "Keep liking my tweets and we're gonna end up like this." However, precursors saw use on Instagram dating back to 2016.

Origin

The phrase "we gone end up like this" predates all other forms of this concept, which is evident in an Instagram[4] post from June 22nd, 2016, posted by the account lgtblovee. The meme received over 180 likes in six years. The first tweet to use the phrase, "Keep liking my tweets and we're gonna end up like this," or some form of it was posted on November 1st, 2018, by Twitter[1] user Mr_Gr4Y whose tweet earned roughly 26 likes over the course of four years (shown below).
