White Guy Singing Bruno Mars refers to a viral video clip of a member the military band performing the Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars song "Uptown Funk" at the 2020 Salute To America Fourth of July celebration on the White House Lawn. The clip went viral on Twitter in July 2020, using the clip to express feelings of being ignored.

On July 4th, 2020, the White House held a Fourth of July celebration, "Salute to America," on the White House lawn. During the event, a band made of military personnel played a series of pop songs, including "Uptown Funk," for the audience.
That day, Twitter user @scottgairdner posted the clip with the caption, "The White House 4th of July entertainment is a white guy singing Bruno Mars." The post received more than 12 million, 181,000 likes and 61,000 retweets in less than two days (shown below).

Over the next two days, people continued to share the clip with various captions. For example, Twitter user @LukeMones posted the video with the caption "me doing standup comedy after the vaccine." The tweet received more than 4,000 likes and 500 retweets in less than two days (shown below).
