Who TF Is Burning Down My Kitchen or Making Breakfast For My Beautiful Wife refers to a series of ship dynamic memes where two frequently shipped characters are shown tweeting, one writing, "making breakfast for my beautiful wife" followed by the other tweeting, "who tf is burning down my kitchen." The original meme was posted to Twitter in May 2021 and inspired numerous variations over the course of the year.

Origin

On May 23rd, 2021, Twitter^[1] user @karazrell posted a fake series of tweets from the characters Catra and Adora from the series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Adora tweets, "making breakfast for my beautiful wife" and minutes later Catra tweets, "who tf is burning down my kitchen." The post gained over 5,300 likes and 940 retweets in 11 months (shown below).

Spread

The meme inspired variations over the following months on Twitter and Tumblr, placing different characters in the place of Catra and Adora. For example, on May 24th, Twitter^[2] user @bisexualbunniez posted a version using My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic characters Applejack and Rainbow Dash, gaining over 19,000 likes and 2,700 retweets in 11 months (shown below, left). On May 26th, Tumblr^[3] user duckdodger posted a version with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, gaining over 1,400 notes in a similar span of time (shown below, right).

On June 7th, iFunny^[4] user Ann_Bao posted a version of the meme using the characters Sam and Max (shown below).

On March 16th, 2022, Redditor Rainbow_Flo_wer posted a Genshin Impact themed version of the meme to r/Genshin_Memepact,^[5] gaining over 1,300 upvotes in a month (shown below). The meme was reposted by Instagram^[6] page genshinmemes the next day, garnering over 41,000 likes in a month.
