About
You Are Latina Enough, also known as Jenna Ortega's "Latina Enough" Interview, refers to a quote said by a BuzzFeed interviewer during an interview with American actress Jenna Ortega, saying, "You are Latina enough," amid backlash Ortega was facing online about her cultural identity as a Latina who doesn't speak fluent Spanish. The quote and interview sparked a viral debate in late August 2024 on the internet about Latin American identity and cultural appropriation. The catchphrase also became the subject of memes and jokes making fun of other celebrities trying to use their Latino heritage to get some advantage out of it.
