The first entries in the gooner timeline include Dasha Nekrasova of the Red Scare podcast, Gio Scotti, a woman from the Model vs. Cashier meme, SantoriMary and Saori Araki.

On July 30th, 2025, X^[1] / Twitter user @OverfitQuantit1 posted a meme described as "the gooner timeline," garnering over 24,000 likes and 1.6 million views in a year. The meme shows a timeline of women who have gone viral largely for their looks and people's thirst for them. Most of these women originally went viral on X.

The Gooner Timeline meme spread over the following months, with some users updating it to add more women as different subjects went viral online.

On August 4th, 2025, Instagram^[2] user sadcinameme2 posted an altered version of the meme that adds several other women, including South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron and Malaysian actresses Ahirine Ahiruddin and Elizabeth Tan, garnering over 6,600 likes in a year.

On August 9th, the Asmongold Shorts YouTube^[3] channel uploaded a clip of streamer Asmongold reacting to the original iteration of the gooner timeline, garnering over 4.4 million views in a year.

On February 27th, 2026, X^[4] user @OverfitQuantit1, the creator of the meme, posted an updated version that includes U.S. Olympian and figure skater Alysa Liu, garnering over 52,000 likes in five months.

On March 26th, X^[5] user @rathor7_ posted an updated version of the meme that includes a barista who was seen in a video serving coffee to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,^[6] garnering over 24,000 likes in four months.
