The clip is often used to portray intrusive thoughts.

Origin

On December 6th, 2022, TikToker^[1] @alicedoeswonderland posted a video where she looks directly at the viewer and says, "You're beautiful and capable of great things, like murder. Don't do that though, unless it's completely necessary. Anyway, bye." The video gained over 689,000 views in a little over a year (shown below).

Spread

The video's original sound became notably popular as a source for lip dub videos and animations throughout 2023, with some of the most popular examples being posted around August or September of that year, garnering over 42,800 uses by January 2024.

On April 3rd, 2023, YouTuber^[2] Galaxy Exotics used the audio in a video that gained over 144,000 views in nine months. On September 3rd, TikToker^[3] @officialqueensimba posted a video using the audio that gained over 4.2 million views in four months (shown below, left). On September 10th, TikToker^[4] @aino.me posted an animation that gained over 1.2 million views in four months (shown below, right).

On October 19th, TikToker^[5] @sharkspicioustales posted an animation set to the audio that gained over 1.7 million views in three months (shown below).
