Rapper Cam'ron, a man who has very much established himself as someone who does not give a hoot about being a talking head on cable news networks, somehow found himself as a talking head on a cable news network last night and the results were predictably wild.

The rapper who once kickstarted the U Mad? meme on Bill O'Reilly's show was a guest on CNN last night to discuss the troubling allegations against Diddy, including a recent video of the hip-hop mogul assaulting then-girlfriend Cassie and his ill-received apology video. He did not seem to take it seriously.

CNN anchor Abby Philip tried to get Cam'ron's take as an insider in hip-hop, but the rapper seemed to have only a slightly closer relationship to Diddy than the average person. Cam'ron acknowledged that he had met Diddy but didn't have much insight into his character, and said he found the footage in the Cassie video disturbing — not dissimilar to what other celebrities who have personally met Diddy have said.

The "highlight" of Cam'ron's four-minute appearance came when he seemed to completely lose interest in the conversation at hand. He took out a substance called PinkHorsePower, a supplement brand he owns designed to improve male libido, and said, "Sorry, I’m gonna’ go get some cheeks after this horse power drink."

The interview was cut off after Cam'ron openly wondered who booked him for this appearance, likely voicing the same thought many viewers were having at the time.

The clip quickly went viral on social media, racking up over 8.1 million views on Twitter / X, and many people familiar with Cam'ron's history on television voiced how he could have possibly gotten the gig considering his infamous history on cable news programs.

Have we learned nothing Whomst thought that was a good idea

Following the appearance, Cam'ron appeared on the It Is What It Is podcast to explain his attitude. He said he didn't appreciate being brought on to discuss negative narratives in hip-hop rather than the positive things he and fellow rapper Mase do in their communities.

He also said he shared the opinion of viewers wondering how he got booked, saying, "I don't know why they booked me. They didn't watch 60 Minutes. They didn't watch Bill O'Reilly. This is what I do."
