Gabby The Papillon Goes Viral For Running Very, Very Fast

Twitter is evidently in the mood for creatures moving very, very fast. After last week's viral sensation Daphne, the Florida teen who made running at 19 MPH look like a gentle jog, Twitter users are now cheering on Gabby, a very small papillon dog who took down an obstacle course at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in under 40 seconds.

They tried to tell Gabby how to run her race and she was like I don’t hear short money. https://t.co/ZyhdTQvege

Gabby did those weave poles better than I've ever done anything in my life. https://t.co/V35m0SM1hV

The video is actually two years old; Gabby's incredible performance is from the 2019 Westminster Dog Show, where she took gold in the 8" division in the Masters Agility Championship. The title of Grand Champion went to a Border Collie named Verb, but, as Slate pointed out, Verb is not very tiny, which is likely why they didn't go viral.
For those wondering, the little push Gabby's trainer Andrea Samuels gives Abby during the pair's celebration was not some kind of reprimand but her showing playful affection for the dog.
Papillon owner here: they love to be pushed. It seems crazy, but they love it. They can’t rough-house with big dogs (they’d break bones), so a human push works when they’re amped. She’s pushed again at the end & Gabby jumps right back.

While there's no recent news on Gabby, Samuels recently posted a picture of Gabby with her blue ribbon on her Facebook, and it is very adorable.
