Out For Just One Day Stray Already Seems To Have Found Its Target Audience Cats
BlueWave Studio finally released its curious adventure video game Stray yesterday, and while people have sat down to fulfill their dreams of taking the role of a very realistic cat, one group will not let them — their cats.

The game so far has largely earned praise for allowing players to act very, well, catlike. In Stray, players are incentivized towards activities like meowing, scratching things, knocking things off tables, jumping in cardboard boxes, etc.
The apparent result to the mind of a cat is that there are what very much look and sound like real cats in the television screen.
On Twitter, the gimmick account @CatsWatchStray has already amassed over 6,100 followers in 24 hours by simply retweeting people filming their animals enthralled by the fake cat on TV. The results are expectedly wholesome and adorable.

If nothing else, the developing trend proves just how successful BlueWave was in developing and animating realistic cats, because they've already fooled real cats and dogs worldwide into thinking there are cats trapped in the television.
This bodes well for the marketing of Stray, because if there's one thing that can convince the internet to make purchases and create websites, it's cute videos of cats.
