Back in 2005, the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game owners Konami responded to a Make-A-Wish request by a child who wanted to have a card made in his favorite TCG. This, ultimately, is what led to the creation of the 1-of-1 card "Tyler The Great Warrior" — reported to be the rarest in the entire world.

The card, with artwork depicting an obvious inspiration and combination of Trunks from Dragon Ball Z and Sasuke from Naruto, is one that has plenty of power and a creative effect to boot.

Presented to Tyler Gressle (who had an extremely rare form of liver cancer) over 17 years ago as part of his Make-A-Wish fulfillment, the only known copy of the card in existence has finally gone up for sale on eBay by Tyler himself, and collectors of the card game are scrambling to buy it as word spreads online.

Twitter post about the card card value

When it comes to the Yu-Gi-Oh card game, there are plenty of cards that were only made one time, but all of those cards have something in common that Tyler's card doesn't — availability.

Other 1-of-1 cards printed, such as a special edition Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon alternate art, is just another art style of an existing card, and it was technically available to everyone but only won by a tournament winner. Tyler The Great Warrior, however, was never available to anyone else except Tyler, and it isn't a copy of an existing card, causing it to truly be unique.

This backstory has caused its price to skyrocket with only nine days left to go on the auction. The card has become so popular worldwide that international buyers are even being warned about how to secure the card if they win the auction.
