Rapper Snoop Dogg, long beloved for his seemingly carefree lifestyle powered largely by marijuana, has announced he's "quitting smoke" on Instagram, presumably meaning he's quitting marijuana altogether.
Snoop Dogg, who famously had a personal blunt roller, has talked about cutting back on his significant marijuana intake in the past, particularly since becoming a grandfather. In March of this year, he discussed moderation with the hopes of seeing his grandkids grow old.
The news was oddly devastating for many on social media, as Snoop Dogg's enjoyment of marijuana has been a constant throughout many's entire life.

However, some weren't convinced that Snoop's post was genuine. Noting that Snoop said he was quitting "smoke," some suspected the post could be a PR stunt for marijuana-related vaping paraphernalia or edibles.
Currently, it seems fans of Snoop Dogg's predilection for cannabis are in the "denial" stage of reacting to the rapper saying he's quitting marijuana, and time will tell if Snoop will say sike and confirm the statement was just a prank. If not, it's truly the end of an era for one of the world's most legendary stoners.
