YouTuber iShowSpeed Sets Off Fireworks In His Room And Nearly Catches House On Fire In Viral Video
Never one to remain out of headlines for long, YouTuber and streamer iShowSpeed has once again made waves around the internet after a viral video depicting him setting off fireworks in his home has rapidly spread in recent days.
In the clip, uploaded on the 4th of July, Speed is shown in his bedroom with a box of fireworks sitting on top of his bed as he speaks with viewers. He then pulls out a large Pikachu firework as he says "let's light the Pikachu one y'all" and then proceeds to light it, placing it on top of the packaging dangerously close to the large box of other fireworks on his mattress.
As it begins to go off, Speed starts to panic a bit and frantically runs around his room, eventually knocking it onto the floor before it fizzles out and his mom walks in, clearly flustered and angry. During the conversation with his mother, Speed suggests he underestimated the type of firework it was, saying that he assumed it was a sprinkler or sparkler.
As the video continues, a fire alarm can be heard going off in the background with a firefighter then coming into his room near the end as he inspects the damage and looks for any residual flames or embers lit by the firework.
Since the upload, the video has received several articles covering the incident from varying sites, as well as significant discussion online from users on platforms like Twitter, many of which merely commented on the craziness of it all.

Aside from the commentary and reactions, some users have also begun using the scene as a meme format, editing it into a multitude of humorous versions with Speed discovering fire or lighting TNT in Minecraft.

Yesterday, Speed then posted a follow-up video on the damage and aftermath of the indoor fireworks bonanza, showing off some minor burns to his ceiling and floor — which is pretty lucky considering how things could've gone.
