It's like they tried hard to make him stand out, but it just comes off awkward and forced. It's like the localizers noticed that people online usually cling to people with a certain favorite food (Papyrus and spaghetti, Derpy and muffins, Sasha and potatoes, Heavy Weapons Guy and sandwiches, etc.) and wanted people to make him into a meme to build online popularity.

I can understand that they wanted to make this guy more interesting, but I don't feel this is the way to do it.
