Does this faggot not understand how men bond or how living in an iron age hunter gather/minor agrarian society works?

Taking aside his retarded way of thinking, it's pretty clear that he's harsh with the kid because that area looks real tough to live in, if he messes around too much, of something happens to him, the kid would need to survive, and that's not easy considering the age they're in.
