Fun fact! There was shit music back in the day too, we just don't hear about it much because PEOPLE DIDN'T LIKE IT! FANCY THAT!

Although I will admit that if you look into pop music it's mostly going to be formulaic, despite things that break trends and take risks ending up at the tops of charts when people end up daring to do so.
