It's funny that we've only got 8 newcomers so far, and only half of them unique fighters, but the fact that Ultimate has everyone in it has made it seem like we've been getting way more than we actually are.

I ain't complaining. Sakurai said "don't expect too much", and I feel we've already gotten so much. It's amazing.

I'd still count the Smash 4 DLC characters as newcomers, considering they were released during the peak of Smash 4's popularity.
