I don't think they're exaggerating. I don't think this is hyperbole to make a point. I think that there are people who genuinely believe that the worse life is for immigrant children the better things are for them.

You are who you pretend to be. If you never drop the mask there is no difference between pretending to being a racist asshole and being one for real.

well i put them on roughly the same level as say every guy who makes jokes about Kentucky fried capitalists (eat the rich) or something in that vein a less than hotsky but more than actually nice folks (i think you've made jokes of this sort too). now i assume it's because they are doing this to purpose they believe what's going on is exaggerated, very crass. though considering I sleep fine even though i'm aware of the immense suffering in the world, do i have the right to judge them over their expression of that?
