That, and a lot of SCP aren't very approachable. I've seen some people describe 1471 as coming across as a "lost puppy" that just follows people because it is looking for some kind of togetherness.

I think the original writer was going for some kind of stalker-terror, but the fear of a stalker is the fear of what it might do. 1471 just seems passive and lonely.
