The "Ghost of Kyiv" is a Ukrainian flying ace, who supposedly shot down six Russian airplanes over Kyiv during the Kyiv offensive of the Russian invasion of Ukraine 2022. His existence is disputed, although he's most likely not a deliberate creation, but an urban legend that emerged "naturally" in the Ukrainian social media. He is credited with a major boost of morale among the general Ukrainian populus.
