I don't think Kratos is the one you should be worrying about right then. In the myths, Hercules and Megara have three children, but then Hera casts a spell on him to make him go insane and kill them all. He undertakes the 10 labors to atone.

"Oh also Hera makes Hercules kill the shit out of Megara and their kids, but we'll just not mention that…"
