<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_Dix">Otto Dix</a> was a German painter and printmaker from the early 20th century who was best known for the artwork he created based on his experiences of fighting on the Western Front during World War One.

This image comes from Der Krieg (The War) a selection of sketches he created shortly after the war had finished.

Artist's Description:

Throughout the series, Dix demonstrates a commanding use of print techniques with etching, dry point and aquatint. Here a night-time flare illuminates a lunar landscape.

Album cover for a compilation album released by the English Folk-Punk band <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levellers_(band)">The Levellers</a>, with the artwork being created by one of the band members themselves.

What it depicts is up to your own interpretation, by I see it as a corrupted nature spirit crying out in agony, whilst the screaming faces in the tower blocks represent the people trapped in the system desperately seeking a way out.
