The Forbidden Siren series is a survival horror with a rather interesting twist. You can view the world through the eyes of the monsters hunting you; allowing you to spy on them and the world around them in relative safety.

If you don't mind puzzles based upon old-school resi logic and tank controls, it's definitely a series worth looking into.
