The Baobhan Sith, pronounced "Baa'van See" is a member of the Faery Folk in Celtic Folklore. Taking the form of beautiful women in long green dresses which hide their deer legs, they seek out young men at night and invite them to dance with them. But remember, they are Faeries. And what are faeries children? That's right, they're all dicks. After tiring the men out after dancing for hours, they pounce on them, tear their throats out with their claws and drink their blood. Like more modern vampires, Baobhan Sith retreat back to their homes at sunrise. Also, like most faeries, they are only vulnerable to iron. It is said that they can be summoned by young men wishing for female companionship without invoking the protection of God. This ties in with the Scottish belief that to make a wish without calling on the protection of God will cause the wish to come true in some horrible way.
