I remember reading about this one female character who had all of her body parts designed to be visually pleasing to the eye when viewed individually, but the combined proportions were so unnatural that she repulsed everybody.
At least, I THINK it was an actual female character. It might've just been a hypothetical genderbend of Mary Shelley's original monster, where he was intended by Victor to be the pinnacle of attractiveness, but in practice he turned out to be an unnerving monstrosity.
