As much as I want to agree with this, the article itself (I know this gives them a click, but I am linking it directly for honesty purposes) says nothing about sending harassment his way and even says, and I quote:

"I unequivocally agree that Cawthon should not have to suffer threats to his family’s safety because of his political affiliations. And of course Cawthon is entitled to support whatever candidates he pleases. But his insistence that he loves his fans and that his personal actions regarding whom he’s hired, worked with, and befriended over the years should speak louder than his political donations makes no sense."

Which is far from a threat and as much an opinion as anyone else's.

What else were you expecting..? No media coverage at all..? By the tweet's logic, KYM is also "dogpiling" on Scott because they made an entry about the controversy. The only fault I see on the article is being too opinionated, and even that seems to be done on a self-aware manner. If Scott does get harassed further for it, it would not be because the article's writer told anyone to do that.

If we are of the idea that Scott has a right to hold whatever political opinion he has, then that goes both ways: people should be allowed to talk about his opinions in a dissenting way too. The writer is no more at fault of any harassment than any random YouTube video talking about it would be.
