Ya-Te-Veo (I-See-You) is a fictional man-eating tree that is said to be found in remote areas of South America and Central Asia.

It pretends to be a normal tree, until it's prey comes within range.

As soon as it senses that it's prey is within reach, it lashes out with sharp spines and tendrils in order to ensnare it's prey and tear them asunder; draping it's trunk and roots in their gore. Some depictions give it a mouth which is uses to devour it's prey or a eye in it's trunk which it uses to hunt with.
