Not everyone has the privilege of growing up in a healthy and stable environment where they are taught the correct things, sometimes they grow up in toxic environments and have toxic friends, and takes more work to break free from the programming and pathways that were beat into you for most of your life by your environment and the people around you. I think critiquing and encouraging change in people is way more productive than s------- on someone from afar like a bunch of the posts in this thread. If people are going to discount the strides you've made and say you haven't changed - then you're not supporting growth, you're just stifling it and being toxic in a different way. Just my two cents. I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and chaos are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful with your character being a generic a------. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring chaos to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that chaos is repentance. What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this game, is not going to want to purchase SoP:FFO for any system, nor will they purchase any of Square's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Square has alienated an entire market with this move. Square, publicly apologize and cancel SoP:FFO for XO/PS5 or you can kiss your business goodbye.
