2022 Russian Invasion of Ukraine - Operation Impending Doom

Good news is, if I'm recalling things right, the line of command to the nuclear option is a long one and will inevitably have some measure of sane people in it, so the mess at the Kremlin's operations doesn't mean they'll push the big red button out of a frenzy and panic.
The bad news is the fact that there's a mess inside the Kremlin, and we don't have the entire scope of just how much of a mess is in there yet, so I might be speaking too soon.

I didn't like Trump's politics either, but he wasn't dangerously insane or anything. Trump's ultimate goal was always publicity. And swinging around our nuclear arsenal doesn't get a president any good publicity these days, so he just hyped up other stuff instead
