Created by user u/Superirish19, in response to film communities online being heavily attracted to shooting expensive 35mm Cinestill 800T with very expensive luxury brand Leica film cameras at mundane subjects, typically gas-stations at night. As of posting, it is the 3rd best submission (~1,300 upvotes) to the r/analogcirclejerk subreddit, a parody 'circlejerk' sub of the original r/analog subreddit and other film communities on social media.

As a variant of the two soyjaks pointing meme, it had a limited spread across social media in 2021. 6 months after it being posted to Reddit, user @realyrichard_ posted it on Twitter, accompanied by "idk who made this meme but thank u" where it gained 1,475 likes and 222 Retweets (https://twitter.com/reallyrichard_/status/1449111430091837440?cxt=HHwWgMCo6d_Ko5woAAAA). In 2022 it can be found often in film community discords as stickers, or reposted when other users share photos of gastations on Cinestill film.
