About

I Asked ChatGPT, I Asked Grok, I Asked X refers to a phrasal template meme and catchphrase with which internet users mock people who admit to consulting AI tools like ChatGPT or Grok. Instead, meme creators offer their own AI replacements like Magic 8 Balls, psychic characters from television shows or children's toys. Variations of the trend were observed on Tumblr in May 2025, with the phrasal template "I asked ChatGPT, I asked Grok" gaining traction on Twitter / X in mid-June 2025.
