I spend a whole week reviewing a engineering report and drafting an eligibility determination only for my chief to look at the book for 5 minutes and pick out some minuscule detail hidden in some random paragraph that I missed throwing off my entire calculation.

I remember one of my former co-workers saying that experience isn't about "not fucking up", but rather "spotting mistakes before anyone fucks up", or "knowing how to handle things when someone fucks up".
