Based on the geometry of the backboard, the rim, and net, it's clear the the camera angle did not change during the sequence.. The Moon can set vertically to the horizon only in the tropics. If these images were not obtained in the tropics then then sequence is faked. Further, for the basketball rim and the Full Moon to be the same diameter in the image, the photographer would need to be the length of a football field away, using a mondo telephoto lens. Every photographed the Full Moon in the sky with any ordinary camera? Try it. A supremely disappointing exercise. The full Moon is so small on the sky that it easily fits within the field of view of an ordinarydrinking straw. So, the images don't pass muster as a representation of reality. But that does not subtract from the cleverness of the concept. Respectfully Submitted Neil deGrasse Tyson
