On July 19th, 2025, YouTuber^[1] KLODJAN posted a video titled, "Tyler, The Creator – Don't Tap The Glass! (Music Video)," featuring artwork first released on Tyler the Creator's merch website GolfWang.^[2]

The 45-second-long snippet featured a generic pop song where a male singer repeatedly sang, "Don't tap the glass," while an electronic piano riff crescendoed before cutting off abruptly. The video gathered over 76,000 views in five days.

The earliest known repost of the fake "Don't Tap The Glass" song was a July 20th, 2025, TikTok^[4] posted by @luhv..yall_ that contained the caption, "don't tap the glass leak!! 🚨‼️" The post gathered over 280,000 views and 20,000 likes in three days. X^[9] user @MkwNiko reposted the meme to Twitter on July 23rd, 2025, gathering over 3.5 million views and 100,000 likes in a day.

Tyler, the Creator released the actual Don't Tap the Glass^[3] album on July 21st, with no tracks named after the album's title.

Also on July 20th, TikToker^[8] @snowya_ reposted the AI-generated "Don't Tap The Glass" song, writing, "WHAT IS THIS LOL," and gathering over 270,000 plays and 30,000 likes in three days.

Several TikTokers posted ironic memes where they jokingly accepted the fake "Don't Tap The Glass" leak as a real song from Tyler, the Creator's new album, as seen in a July 21st, 2025, TikTok^[5] posted by @poopygorillaface_, which ranked several non-existent songs from Don't Tap The Glass, gathering over 900,000 plays and 100,000 likes in two days.

On July 22nd, TikToker^[6] @sigmafreuds posted a meme montage, including a Druski Dancing clip, of people dancing to the fake "Don't Tap The Glass" leak, gathering over 200,000 plays and 30,000 likes in a day.

Also on July 22nd, 2025, TikToker^[7] @kingphonk_ posted a video featuring TikToker Big Groove, gathering over 230,000 plays and 30,000 likes on a "new slang alert" video.
