I'm a fan of Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Dalle, and all these AI text-to-image tools. Everything online is publicly available and is fair game to be used as training data. If an artist truly wanted to preserve their own rights and property, then they wouldn't have posted it online anyway. Let's be real - artists post their work online because they want the attention and they crave it. Everything online is publicly available, and is classified for fair use. If you want to train your model to emulate a certain style, then you have the right to do so. Nobody complains when artists draw in other artists style. But when we train our models doing so, we are the bad guys? I no longer care about the artists or artist consent. Nobody cares anymore. They can cry and complain on Twitter all they want; that just makes me want to spite them more. Like that crybaby Sam Yang. 2 It's 2022.
