For those wondering, D&D next year will be upgrading to their 'permanent version' known as "One D&D" and with it, they're changing their OGL (Open Game License) to charge Creators of 3rd parties a licensing fee which has causes a cascade effect on the players. This only came around because Hasbro bought out Wizards of the Coast.

As someone who enjoys other tabletop systems like Pathfinder and GURPS, we are just sitting back watching the chaos unfold, it is unfortunate for D&D fans and I do honestly support their reasons.
